Q. What is a timeshare?
A. The timeshares are luxurious apartments totally equipped. The use of a timesharing is of 52 weeks annually.

Q. What is a fixed week?
A. This week must be used in the date that corresponds.

Q. What is a float week?
A. It is one week that does not have a fixed date of use, it can be used at any other time of the year. If the owner deposits his week with RCI or II this week become floating.

Q. What is a banked week?
A. A week of timeshare deposited in one of the many exchange companies to be saved or banked for use at a later time.

Q. What is deeded property?
A.    It is a property that it’s already settled.

Q. What is a leased property?
A. It is a property that the owner is still paying.

Q. What does maintenance fee mean?
A. Maintenance fees are established and collected by the Homeowners Association or Resort Management Company at each resort to maintain the property and pay for insurance, utilities, and refurbishments.  Maintenance fees vary with each resort and depend on the size and type of unit.

Q. What is a point system?
A. Points are offered annually and can be redeemed for daily stays, weekend getaways, full week stays or other products. Additional points can be purchased but usage varies from resort to resort.

Q. What are points for?
A. Owners in this type of system purchase points for use as currency to reserve timeshare accommodations of various sizes, during different seasons, and for varying lengths of time.  Points can sometimes also be used for other vacation products such as airfare, hotel stays, and auto rentals.

Q. What is red, white-yellow, and blue-green time?
A. A color system used for rating the desirability of a timeshare week. Red is considered the most desirable followed by white and yellow. Blue and green are considered off-season.

Q. What is an annual timeshare?
A. A property that can be used every year.

Q. What is a bi-annual timeshare?
A. A property that is used every other year.

Q. What does (odd year) & (even year) mean?
A. Odd and Even year usages are biannual ownerships.  Weeks with odd year usage can be used during years ending in odd numbers while weeks with even year usage can be used during years ending in even numbers.

Q. What is Interval International (II) y RCI?
A. They are companies of interchanges that are dedicated to deposit your week and they allow you to use it in any other resort and any other time of the year.

Q. What is a Five-Star resort?
A. Estabishments offering accommodation assessed by the AA are rated under a set of common quality standards agreed by the AA and the UK tourist Authorities.  Attentive, more personalised service, at least half of the bedrooms are en suite or have private bathrooms.  very good beds and high quality furniture..

Q. What does lockout mean?
A. A timeshare that is divided into two separate living spaces with two separate entrances. A lockout will usually exchange one week for two weeks in a smaller unit.

Q. What  happens if a property has delays?
A. All pending balance that the property has will be deducted at the time of the rent of the week, however if the property has been more than 3 years without payments, nothing can be done about it. This person already lost his property. .

Q. Is it true that it is ilegal in the State of Florida to require a fee up-front for listing the time share?
A. Tropical Vacation Resort is not a broker and does not take listing-only comercialization, publication and Adverticement.  Section 721.21 Fl. State prohibit a real estate licensee from accepting money up-front for listing of a timeshare.
